I have interests in music; specifically, the guitar and I will start piano grade 1 this year, even though I am not very good at music. I have a passion for exploring different cultures and I always have the need to visit new places. My goal is to visit 30 countries by when I'm 18 and I've visited 25 already, hopefully, Peru or Japan is next on the list. I am seriously passionate about gender equality and get annoyed when people make jokes about women's capabilities. For some reason, since I was a kid I've always supported gender equality as if it is an impulse to protect feminists! (Even my Grade 5 exhibition was about gender equality :D)
To study literature helps people to understand different cultures and other's experience in life. It opens a door to numerous different perceptions of life for which the person may not have been exposed to before. Literature also teaches people the importance of how one word or different texts can impact someone's perspective or attitude. It introduces different forms of literature and genres that a person may like more than they intended.
I personally enjoy reading classic novels because the reader goes on a journey with the character and experiences their story. Every novel is like putting on 'special glasses' and you see what each character's life is like; their actions, language, and how they treat people. I think it is somewhat similar to acting; you play so many different roles that are nothing like you and in novels, you read so many different characters to help understand different each person's personality.
